About us

Square One Solutions is a family owned and operated labor and staffing company established in 2010 in Reno, Nevada serving customers all across Northern Nevada. Owned and operated by Karen Skowronek and her two sons, Johnny and Michael, they have a combined 30 years of experience in staffing for Northern Nevada employers.

After moving to Reno in 2004 from North Dakota, the family operated a franchise office for a national staffing firm. After the 2010 recession devastated the national presence of that company, Square One Solutions was formed. Initially focusing on providing "day labor" to the construction, warehouse and event/trade show industries, Square 1 has evolved over the years to be able to offer unlimited hiring services. No matter the company, industry, duration of skill level of employee you are looking for, Square One Solutions can partner with you to grow your staff and fill the gaps in your workforce to keep your operation moving smoothly.

Square One Solutions is very involved in the community supporting a wide range of organizations. These organizations include Quest Counseling, Tu Casa Latina, The Maison T Ortiz Youth Outdoor Skills Camp, The Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), The Reno Tahoe Young Professionals Network, The Northern Nevada Human Resources Association, the Builder's Association of Northern Nevada and the Builder's Association Charity, The Nevada Chapter Association of General Contractors, and many other organizations.
